Core Mechanics
This mod introduces risk mechanics to consuming raw meat by implementing negative status effects and a new disease, increasing the difficulty of food management in survival mode.
1. Raw Food Penalties
When a player consumes any uncooked meat (including but not limited to raw beef, raw pork, raw chicken, raw rabbit, etc.), there is a random chance to trigger the following negative effects:
- Nausea: The player will immediately receive a brief Nausea visual effect.
- Acute Gastroenteritis: A new disease status effect introduced by this mod.
2. Acute Gastroenteritis Effects
- Status Behavior: While infected, the player's digestive system is compromised.
- Penalty Mechanic: For the duration of this status effect, every time the player consumes food (regardless of the food type), they will lose a certain amount of health.
Modpack Compatibility
- This mod is a lightweight mechanic tweak and is theoretically compatible with all mods that add custom food items (e.g., Farmer's Delight).
- Highly recommended for hardcore survival, realism, or wilderness-themed modpacks.
